is a Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist; and a passionate and committed social justice activist. He is the founder of Pros and Cons Project at Joyceville Institution (Kingston area) which has become internationally recognized as ground breaking in fields of restorative justice and inmate mentorship. This program continues to expand with the generous support of funds granted by The David Rockefeller Fund. Chris is an artist who understands the power of music, a healing force for those who need it most, in transforming lives going forward. He has played with The Tragically Hip and The Barenaked Ladies.

GUEST SPEAKER: JEAN ASHWORTH BARTLE
is best known as the Founder/Conductor Laureate of the Toronto Children's Chorus. She created the choir in 1978 in order to provide a children's choir for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. She stepped down as artistic director in 2007, after 29 years of leadership. She is highly active as a choral clinician, adjudicator and guest conductor.

worked at the Toronto Star for 21 years as a reporter, columnist and features' writer. She is now a freelance writer and the author of "Newsgirls: Gutsy Pioneers in Canada's Newsrooms", which highlights ten female reporters who worked in pre-feminist times (1930-1960).

GUEST SPEAKER: MAIRLYN SMITH
is a professional home economist and food writer who is also a TV and media food personality. She is a regular on Breakfast TV, as well as the popular CityLine. She is also an actor and alumnus of Second City and has a comedic flair in presenting information about food and nutrition. She has written three best-selling cookbooks.
